Do you have experience in Windows administration and desktop support, and want to break out of the regular help desk role into a position supporting a Cloud based IT platform? As a part of the Cloud Helpdesk, fielding incoming calls and tickets from clients utilizing our feature-rich Portal is your main focus. Due to the wide range of industries taking advantage of External IT’s services, you will have exposure to several different industry standard line of business apps, along with other emerging technologies that integrate with our Portal.
Each week with External IT you will walk away learning something new, and build your technical prowess to an elite level. All that’s required of you is that you be prepared and willing to take the opportunity.

2.Understanding core technologies, and how to build around them (Active Directory, SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, IIS, PowerShell)

Effective communication is important to the continued success of the Cloud Helpdesk, as we hold ourselves to a higher standard, and if the ball is in your court, you need to make sure it’s not dropped.
Each client has a custom set of applications and processes, and you need the ability to quickly learn these new technologies and procedures with a high level of retention and accuracy.
You will need to have the discipline to ensure detailed information is documented as fixes and solutions are implemented. A high attention to detail is required when communicating resolution, and ensuring gained knowledge is tracked and shared.
Adaptable Interpersonal skills
One phone call, you may be talking to the Secretary of the local flower delivery company, and the next interaction you have is with the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. You should have the ability to change gears from one call to the next, and do it effortlessly.
1-3 Years as Desktop Support or Remote Helpdesk
HS equivalent or higher
